September 25, 2026 - The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 IOHSK Student Club Seed Grants, an initiative designed to support student leadership, innovative educational activities, health promotion, physical activity, community service, and the development of future leaders. Following a careful review of submitted proposals, IOHSK selected three outstanding student organizations whose missions, proposed activities, and expected impact strongly align with the mission and values of IOHSK. Together, these projects demonstrate how student-led organizations can transform ideas into meaningful action in their schools, universities, and communities. A total of 15 student grant recipients have been recognized as representatives of the three selected clubs. IOHSK will provide $1,500 for Project #1, $1,000 for Project #2, and $1,500 for Project #3, for a total of $4,000 in student club seed funding. Each funded organization will implement its proposed activities during the grant period and will be required to submit a final report, including photographs and documentation of completed activities, by March 30, 2027.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) proudly announces the formation and expansion of the IOHSK South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania (SSO) Regional Leadership Team, marking another important milestone in IOHSK’s continued international growth. Under the leadership of Dr. Arvin Andacao, President of IOHSK SSO, and Dr. Ruben Tagare, Vice President of IOHSK SSO, four outstanding professionals and emerging leaders from across the region have been appointed to serve on the regional leadership team.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its regional leadership team for IOHSK Europe (EUR). Following the appointment of Dr. Germina-Alina Cosma, University of Craiova, Romania, as President of IOHSK Europe on July 27, 2026, and the appointment of Dr. Adam Kantanista, Poznań University of Physical Education, Poland, to the European regional leadership team on August 18, 2026, IOHSK is delighted to welcome two additional distinguished scholars to its European leadership. Dr. Toni Arndt, Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences (GIH), Sweden, and Dr. Carmen Ene-Voiculescu, Ovidius University of Constanța, Romania, have been appointed as Vice Presidents of IOHSK Europe (EUR) for a two-year term, effective September 21, 2026, through September 21, 2028.

This important region represents 33 countries and brings together a diverse and growing community of scholars, educators, researchers, practitioners, students, and professionals in health, sports, physical education, and kinesiology.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has unanimously approved IOHSK’s participation as an International Co-Host of the 1st International Research Conference on Education, Culture, and Sports (IRCECS 2026). IRCECS 2026 will be organized by the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) through the Center for Human Kinetics and Wellness Studies (CHKWS) and will take place on December 18–19, 2026, in a hybrid format at the University of Southern Mindanao in the Philippines and via Zoom.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce a significant step toward developing a new international academic partnership with Poznań University of Physical Education (AWF Poznań) in Poznań, Poland. The prospective collaboration is intended to promote international cooperation in research, academic exchanges, scholarly activities, conferences, professional development, and cross-cultural educational experiences.

On August 17, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:40 p.m., Dr. Hosung So, President and CEO of IOHSK, visited Poznań University of Physical Education and participated in an official meeting held at the Rector’s Office of Prof. dr hab. Jacek Zieliński, Rector of the University.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Adam Kantanista as Vice President of IOHSK Europe, effective August 18, 2026. Dr. Kantanista will serve a two-year term, with the option of re-appointment for an additional two-year term. In this leadership role, he will support the continued growth of IOHSK throughout Europe and work closely with Dr. Germina Cosma, President of IOHSK Europe at the University of Craiova, Romania, to advance IOHSK’s mission, professional activities, scholarly collaboration, and member engagement across Europe. The IOHSK Bylaws designate International Vice Presidents to assist their respective International Presidents in representing, managing, and supporting organizational activities within their regions. Nomination for 2026-2027 IOHSK Fellow!
Candidates must meet at least five criteria of the following distinguished criteria: (1) A minimum of five years of continuous IOHSK membership, (2) At least one year of service as a board member or JOHSK editorial member, (3) Active participation as a committee member for IOHSK events or conferences on three or more occasions, (4) Presentation at an IOHSK event or conference on three or more occasions, (5) Publication of at least two articles or abstracts with IOHSK, and (6) Attendance at IOHSK seminars, events, or conferences on three or more occasions.

The Medical Case Study Club at Los Osos High School would like to express its sincere appreciation to the International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) for awarding our club the 2025 Student Club Grant. IOHSK Announces the Appointment of Dr. Jaeeun Shin as Vice President of IOHSK East Asia

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jaeeun Shin as Vice President of IOHSK East Asia. In this important leadership role, Dr. Shin will work closely with Dr. Sungje Park, President of IOHSK East Asia, and Dr. Jae Woog Lee, Vice President of IOHSK East Asia, to advance the organization’s mission, strengthen regional partnerships, and expand IOHSK’s presence throughout East Asia.

His two-year term will begin on August 1, 2026, and continue through August 1, 2028.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce the unanimous election of Dr. Germina-Alina Cosma as President of IOHSK Europe. Dr. Cosma was elected by all 12 members of the IOHSK Board of Directors.

Her presidential term will begin on August 1, 2026, and continue through August 1, 2028. The appointment may be renewed for an additional two-year term based on a future decision of the Board of Directors.

IOHSK Announces the Appointment of Mr. Uk Je Sung as Assistant General Manager (AGM) The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Uk Je Sung as Assistant General Manager for a two-year term, effective August 1, 2026, through August 1, 2028.

The International Organization of Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased and honored to announce the establishment of the Dr. Monoem Haddad Scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic years. These scholarships will support IOHSK undergraduate and graduate student members through conference presentation support, travel assistance, and general academic scholarships.

Psychology has long reminded us that growth does not happen through achievement alone. The well-known Harlow monkey experiments, although controversial and ethically troubling, showed how deeply living beings need comfort, connection, care, and emotional security. The lesson is powerful: performance cannot be separated from belonging. This idea can also be applied to professional and academic organizations. A meaningful organization should not value its members only by publications, presentations, external awards, titles, or visible achievements. While academic accomplishments are important, they should never be the only measure of a member’s worth.

The International Organization of Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) proudly congratulates two of its undergraduate members from the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) for their outstanding academic achievements during the University's 80th Commencement Exercises.  

Nicole S. Ocoy, who graduated with the degree Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) and was awarded the distinction of Magna Cum Laude, a testament to her unwavering dedication, academic excellence, and commitment to learning throughout her collegiate journey.

Also earning academic distinction is Fhonnalyn S. Eyong, who completed her degree in Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences (BSESS) and graduated with the honor of Cum Laude. Her achievement reflects years of perseverance, hard work, and passion for excellence in the field of sports and exercise sciences.
