  • The IOHSK Internationally Distinguished Lecture Series Funds, established by Dr. Thomas L. McKenzie, Lifetime Honorary President of IOHSK and Dr. Hosung So, President and CEO of the International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK), support the organization’s mission to provide global, high-quality educational opportunities for students, scholars, and professionals across the fields of health, sports, physical education, exercise science, and kinesiology.

    These funds make it possible to invite internationally recognized scholars, researchers, educators, and practitioners to deliver keynote lectures, masterclasses, workshops, panels, and special presentations—both virtually and in person. The goal is to broaden access to world-class expertise, foster academic inspiration, and strengthen global professional networks across diverse and underrepresented communities.

    Supported through generous individual donations, the Lecture Series Funds help cover speaker honoraria, technology and virtual platform services, event preparation, translation needs, and promotional activities. Events supported by these funds contribute to IOHSK’s commitment to inclusive, accessible, and globally connected learning environments.

  • Funded by Randi & Thomas McKenzie, The Lucy Tierk Shoham Scholarships support outstanding students and emerging professionals who demonstrate commitment to health, sports, and kinesiology.

    This scholarship supports exceptional undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate strong academic achievement, leadership potential, and a commitment to advancing the fields of health, sports, physical education, exercise science, and kinesiology. Preference is given to individuals who embody the values of service, empathy, inclusivity, and community engagement—qualities that reflect the life and spirit of Lucy Shoham.

    Funded through generous donations from Randi & Thomas McKenzie, the Lucy Shoham Memorial Scholarship aims to expand opportunities for students, especially those from underrepresented or financially disadvantaged backgrounds, by supporting their participation in professional development activities, research, presentations, IOHSK conferences, and other scholarly pursuits that contribute to IOHSK’s global mission.
