Future Leaders in Health & Sport: 2026 IOHSK Scholarship Recipients Announced

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 IOHSK Scholarship for high school students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and meaningful involvement in health- and sport-related activities. This scholarship is designed to support and encourage high school students worldwide who have a strong interest in the fields of health, physical activity, sport, and related professions.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Ferman Konukman as Vice President of IOHSK for the Middle East and Central Asia, for two years (March 2026 - February 2028). Dr. Konukman is a faculty member in the Department of Sport Coaching, College of Sport Sciences, Qatar University (Doha, Qatar). He earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Health & Physical Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). He also holds an M.Ed. in Health & Human Performance (emphasis in Physical Education and Sport Studies) from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and an M.S. in Health Promotion from Virginia Tech. Dr. Konukman completed his undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Sports at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey.

Mr. Owasif Aurnob—an outstanding, long-time member of IOHSK—has been hired as a Physical Instructor at the University of Chittagong, where he completed his undergraduate studies. Since joining IOHSK in 2020, Mr. Aurnob has served with dedication as an intern and Assistant Director, and he currently serves on the IOHSK Board as the Archivist. In his new role, he will help promote physical fitness, sport performance, and student well-being across the university community.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is delighted to announce the election of Dr. Sung-Je Park as the new International President representing East Asia. The IOHSK Presidential Election was conducted virtually on February 7, 2026, under the supervision of the IOHSK Board of Directors. Dr. Park was unanimously elected to this distinguished position. Dr. Park will officially assume office on February 8, 2026, and will serve a two-year term through February 8, 2028. In this role, he will represent and oversee IOHSK activities across East Asia, including Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Mongolia.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is delighted to announce the election of Dr. Monoem Haddad as the new International President representing the Middle East and Central Asia. The IOHSK Presidential Election was conducted virtually on February 7, 2026, under the supervision of the Board of Directors. Dr. Haddad was unanimously elected to this distinguished position. Dr. Haddad will assume office on February 8, 2026, and will serve a two-year term through February 8, 2028. In this capacity, he will represent and oversee IOHSK activities across 27 countries in the Middle East and Central Asia….

Artificial intelligence (AI) literacy and effective prompting are increasingly essential skills for educators, coaches, and practitioners working in health, sport, and kinesiology. As AI tools become more accessible and influential across education, performance analysis, and clinical support, professionals must understand not only what AI can do, but how to use it responsibly and effectively. This presentation was developed to provide IOHSK members with foundational knowledge paired with practical guidance that supports informed, ethical, and productive engagement with AI technologies.

Are you a high school student passionate about health and sports? This scholarship supports and encourages students worldwide who demonstrate strong academic achievement and active involvement in health- and sports-related activities. This scholarship is designed to support and encourage high school students worldwide who have a strong interest in the fields of health and sports. Eligible applicants should be actively involved in school-related activities such as health or medical clubs, community health and wellness initiatives, varsity athletic programs as student-athletes, or health-related volunteer work.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is proud to announce that Sung‑Je Park, IOHSK Asia Vice President and Co-Chair of the 9th IOHSK International Conference (2026), and Professor at Chung‑Ang University, together with doctoral candidate Junhee Lee, have received the prestigious Nasara Academic Award.

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is proud to announce that Dr. Sung-Je Park, Vice President of IOHSK Asia and Co-Chair of the 9th IOHSK International Conference, has been elected as President of the Korea Olympic Torch Association.

Professor Dr. Sung-Je Park at Chung-Ang University, Korea was inaugurated as the 15th President of the Korea Olympic Torch Association, a nonprofit and non-governmental sports organization in Korea. He was elected during the 2025 Korea Olympic Torch Association Fall Academic Conference, Sports Awards Ceremony, and Presidential Inauguration and Farewell Ceremony, held on December 5 at the Seoul Olympic Parktel. His official term will begin in January 2026.
