Introduction

The Journal of Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (JOHSK; e-ISSN 2692-9864 ) is an international, high-quality, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed research journal published by the International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK). JOHSK is committed to the continuous dissemination of new knowledge through an online rolling publication system, releasing accepted articles 3–4 times per month and aiming to publish 50–60 articles per year.

As an Online Open-Access journal, JOHSK ensures that all published articles are freely accessible worldwide, supporting IOHSK’s mission to expand scholarly opportunities for researchers, professionals, and students, particularly from underrepresented and low- and lower-income regions.

JOHSK provides a global platform for the exchange of high-quality empirical and theoretical work in all areas related to Health, Sports, and Kinesiology. The journal welcomes submissions in the form of original research articles, empirical studies, theoretical papers, case studies, literature reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, book reviews, conceptual frameworks, analytical models, simulation studies, and technical notes from scholars and practitioners across the world.

Aim and Scope

JOHSK publishes work that is rigorous, relevant, and meaningful to an international readership. Manuscripts—whether submitted as part of a special issue or as individual papers—may address any contemporary and emerging topics in Health, Sports, and Kinesiology. Research conducted within a single geographic, cultural, or institutional setting is welcomed, provided the study presents clear implications for broader scholarly or practical application.

The journal particularly encourages empirical studies and scholarly works that demonstrate:

  • A robust and well-articulated theoretical framework

  • A critical and integrated understanding of relevant literature

  • Strong research design, methodology, and data analysis

  • Critical interpretation, discussion, and implications for further research, policy, and professional practice in an international context

  • Adherence to JOHSK’s “Instructions for Authors” and ethical guidelines

Types of Papers Considered

In addition to empirical research, JOHSK enthusiastically welcomes:

  • Critical literature reviews and systematic reviews

  • Evidence-based analyses of physical activity, health promotion, sport science, and kinesiology topics

  • Conceptual or theoretical papers proposing new frameworks or models

  • Case studies with broad relevance

  • Technical notes and methodological innovations

All submissions must be original, demonstrate scholarly rigor, and contribute meaningfully to the international discourse in Health, Sports, and Kinesiology.

JOHSK Publication Fee Policy: The Journal of Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (JOHSK) does not charge any publication fees. However, all authors listed on the manuscript must be registered and paid members of IOHSK at the time of submission. No exceptions will be made.
