IOHSK Appoints Dr. Adam Kantanista as Vice President of IOHSK Europe

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Adam Kantanista as Vice President of IOHSK Europe, effective August 18, 2026. Dr. Kantanista will serve a two-year term, with the option of re-appointment for an additional two-year term. Dr. Adam Kantanista is an internationally recognized scholar who has published numerous articles in high-impact, peer-reviewed, and indexed journals, along with other significant scholarly publications.

In this leadership role, he will support the continued growth of IOHSK throughout Europe and work closely with Dr. Germina Cosma, President of IOHSK Europe at the University of Craiova, Romania, to advance IOHSK’s mission, professional activities, scholarly collaboration, and member engagement across Europe. The IOHSK Bylaws designate International Vice Presidents to assist their respective International Presidents in representing, managing, and supporting organizational activities within their regions. Dr. Kantanista is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Lifelong Sports at Poznań University of Physical Education and currently serves as Vice-Dean for Education in the Faculty of Sport Sciences. He also previously served as Head of the Department of Physical Education and Lifelong Sports, reflecting his extensive academic and administrative leadership experience.

Dr. Kantanista has been actively involved with IOHSK since 2022. He participated in the 9th IOHSK International Conference, held at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from July 22–24, 2026, contributing to the scientific program through oral and poster presentations. IOHSK recognizes his continued service, professional engagement, and efforts to promote the organization and its international mission.

Poznań University of Physical Education, officially named after Professor Eugeniusz Piasecki, is one of Poland’s most distinguished institutions devoted to physical education, sport, health, and human movement sciences. Its history dates to 1919, when the Department of School Hygiene and Theory of Physical Education was established at the newly created Poznań University as Poland’s first academic center for training physical education specialists. The institution subsequently developed into an independent higher-education school and received university status in 1973. As Vice President of IOHSK Europe, Dr. Kantanista will work closely with Dr. Cosma and other IOHSK leaders to strengthen communication, participation, and professional collaboration among IOHSK members throughout Europe, including all 27 European Union member states as well as non-EU European countries.
