IOHSK Announces the Appointment of Dr. Jaeeun Shin as Vice President of IOHSK East Asia

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jaeeun Shin as Vice President of IOHSK East Asia. In this important leadership role, Dr. Shin will work closely with Dr. Sungje Park, President of IOHSK East Asia, and Dr. Jae Woog Lee, Vice President of IOHSK East Asia, to advance the organization’s mission, strengthen regional partnerships, and expand IOHSK’s presence throughout East Asia.

Dr. Shin is a Research Professor in the College of Sport Sciences at Chung-Ang University. She has been actively involved with IOHSK as an international conference presenter in Thailand and most recently served as a member of the Local Organizing Committee for the 9th IOHSK International Conference, held at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from July 22–24, 2026.

Beginning on March 1, 2026, and continuing through the conclusion of the conference on July 24, 2026, Dr. Shin worked tirelessly to support the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of the event. Her professionalism, extraordinary work ethic, attention to detail, and wholehearted dedication were recognized and greatly appreciated by conference participants, invited speakers, committee members, and IOHSK leaders from around the world.

In recognition of her exceptional service, dedication, and leadership potential, members of the IOHSK Board recommended her appointment as Vice President of IOHSK East Asia. Her passion for international collaboration and her commitment to serving others strongly align with the mission and values of IOHSK.

Dr. Shin is a distinguished researcher in the fields of sport management and sport business and has successfully received competitive national research grants in Korea. Her professional accomplishments extend well beyond academia. She has served as a FINA Artistic Swimming Judge, an artistic swimming broadcaster for tvN Sports in Korea, and Vice President of the Judges Committee of the Korean Swimming Federation.

Through her extensive experience with Korean national committees, international sport organizations, and governing federations, Dr. Shin brings valuable expertise, professional networks, and a global perspective to IOHSK. In her new role, she will help establish meaningful connections with other institutions and organizations, introduce IOHSK to new scholars and professionals, expand membership opportunities, and promote international cooperation in health, sports, physical education, and kinesiology.
