IOHSK Announces Its 17th Fellow: Dr. Germina-Alina Cosma, University of Craiova, Romania

The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce Dr. Germina-Alina Cosma, Professor at the University of Craiova, Romania, as the 17th IOHSK Fellow (FIOHSK).
Dr. Cosma has been an active and valued member of IOHSK since 2021. Over the years, she has demonstrated outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to the organization, including serving as Vice President for Europe of IOHSK for three years. She has also made significant scholarly contributions through her active participation in IOHSK events, webinars, meetings, and international conferences. In recognition of her distinguished accomplishments, Dr. Cosma will also serve as an invited plenary speaker at the 9th IOHSK International Conference, to be held at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Korea, on July 22–24, 2026.
Professor Germina-Alina Cosma is a distinguished Romanian scholar and academic leader in the fields of sport science and physical education. She currently serves as Professor and Director of the Doctoral School of Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Craiova, Romania, where she also holds the important role of Vice President of the University Senate. Her academic and professional leadership extends internationally, reflecting her longstanding dedication to advancing health, sport, and kinesiology.
Her major research interests include the theory and methodology of motor activities, sport psychology, inclusive physical education, rehabilitation through movement, and innovation and entrepreneurship in sport sciences. Professor Cosma has successfully coordinated and managed several Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe projects focused on promoting social inclusion through physical activity, improving the quality of life of individuals with disabilities, and advancing innovation in sport education. Her work demonstrates a strong commitment to integrating scientific research with social engagement and sustainable development in the sport sector.
Professor Cosma is also an active and respected member of the international academic community. Since 2013, she has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Sport and Kinetic Movement (JSKM) and has contributed extensively to editorial boards and scientific committees for reputable journals and conferences. Through her academic, research, and administrative leadership, she continues to strengthen the role of sport science in promoting health, social inclusion, and educational excellence.
