The International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) is pleased to announce its 18th Fellow, Dr. EungSoo Oh, Professor at Dong-A University in Busan, South Korea.

Dr. Oh served as President of the Korean Society for Sport Management from 2021 to 2022 and is also the founder of FunEBall, an innovative activity that combines elements of dodgeball and volleyball to create a low-impact, collaborative game suitable for individuals of all ages and ability levels. Unlike traditional dodgeball, FunEBall emphasizes throwing the ball to one another rather than at one another, thereby promoting cooperation, positive play, and the development of natural throwing skills in young people. Similar to volleyball, teams are positioned on opposite sides of a net; however, the ball is thrown over the net rather than spiked or served downward.

Dr. Oh has been a founding member of IOHSK since 2020 and has actively presented and published his research through IOHSK events and conferences since that time. He has also made significant contributions to advancing IOHSK’s mission by promoting membership, scholarly presentations, and publications over the years.

In addition, Dr. Oh has mentored more than 50 graduate students from around the world, supporting their academic growth, professional development, and overall success. This important contribution is especially worthy of recognition, as fostering student achievement and academic advancement is one of the primary missions of IOHSK.

In recognition of his expertise and leadership, Dr. Oh has been invited to offer a FunEBall workshop at the 9th IOHSK International Conference. This workshop will serve as a certificate session for professors, teachers, and graduate students who wish to learn how to teach and coach FunEBall. IOHSK is pleased to partner with FunEBall in promoting this outstanding new sport globally. The workshop will provide conference attendees with a valuable opportunity to learn a new activity that can be applied in physical education classes and physical activity settings.

Dr. Oh’s contributions, commitment, dedication, and service to IOHSK have been invaluable. He is highly deserving of recognition as a Fellow of IOHSK (FIOHSK).

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Oh for his dedication and service to IOHSK. He will be formally recognized during the 9th IOHSK International Conference at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Korea. In addition, Dr. Oh and his colleagues from Dong-A University have been accepted to deliver more than seven presentations, including both oral and poster sessions. We encourage conference attendees to visit their presentations for the opportunity to meet Dr. Oh and learn more about FunEBall.

Congratulations, Dr. EungSoo Oh!
